Author Alterations & Corrections Service – Add-On

Even after a professional edit of your manuscript, there might still be some errors that have been overlooked. Not to worry: that’s where our Author Alterations & Corrections add-on service comes in.

Changes or edits to your book while still in production and before your approval of the final galley proof are considered Author Alterations. These may include typographical errors, missing words, and others. These are the inclusions you get with this add-in service, based on your purchased publishing package:

Black & White Publishing service features and specifications:

• A base fee of $40.00 will be charged for each round of corrections to your book’s interior layout or text, plus $4.50 per additional alteration
• A base fee of $40.00 for each round of corrections to your book’s cover
• Additional galley or cover proof (whichever is appropriate)
• Clear instructions and information included with galley proof delivery
• Alteration of production files and final printing files to reflect changes

Full Colour Publishing service features and specifications:

• A base fee of $40.00 for each round of corrections to your book’s interior layout or text or cover
• A fee of $4.50 for each additional correction within one (1) round of corrections
• Additional galley or cover proof (whichever is appropriate)
• Clear instructions and information included with galley proof delivery
• Ability to make text edits, color and font changes, and image and design alterations
• Alteration of production files and final printing files to reflect changes

If you feel like your manuscript needs an overhaul, our revision services may be more suited for your black and white or full colour book.

Note:

Because your book exists electronically, you can change or update your content even after it has been published. So if new information comes to light or details change, you can make sure that your work is kept up-to-date. Corrections requested after publication are classified as post-publication revision services. They are available for a fee of £299.00 for black & white books and £349.00 for full colour books when you submit a manuscript that has already been updated with your revisions. Different fees may apply if you send us a list of your revisions and have our design team implement them in your book. Please consult your Author Services Representative first before ordering.
